Biographies of Instructors

 

borisBoris Denisov comes from Russia where he received graduated Specialist Diploma (Master of Music) in viola from the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, class of the professor A.S. Dogadin and received his Diploma (Bachelor of Music) degree from the Rostov State Conservatory S.V. Rakhmaninov, class of the professor V.N.Gorbunov. He has had extensive experience as an orchestral and chamber musician in St. Petersburg and Russia and has performed on tour in France, Belgium Luxembourg, Holland, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and China. Professional engagements include performing with the Orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Chapel M.I. Glinki. Boris has been based in China since 2006 and has performed with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. In 2008 he joined the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as tutti violist. Since 2009 he has also been a guest player with the Macau Orchestra.  Boris is now a teacher of violin and viola (Hong Kong Metropolitan Music Limited and Mike's Violin & Conservatory) whilst working on different musical systems (ABRSM, Suzuki and others). Boris has a wealth of experience of teaching private and group lessons for students (in Hong Kong and other countries)of any age and levels and is engaged in active pedagogical and concert activity.

 

elenaElena Abrosimova comes from a family of professional bass players in Russia. Elena began her musical career at five years old a Music school named Gnesinih; she played violin. Acted solo in different concerts, participated in an Orchestra of Young Musicians. At fifteen years old she decided to change instrument and begin  to play the  Double bass in Rostov School of Arts. She graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory(Master of Music) and received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Rostov State Conservatory (Academy) S.V. Rakhmaninov. She has had extensive experience as an orchestral musician, soloist and teacher. Professional engagements include performing with the Orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Chapel M.I. Glinki, the Rostov Academic Symphonic Orchestra, the Kislovodsk Symphony Orchestra and the Rostov Opera and Ballet theatre in Russia; she has also appeared as a soloist with the Rostov Symphony Orchestra. In 2006 Elena moved to China to join the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. In 2008 she became a member of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. Since 2009 she has also been a guest player with the Macau Orchestra. Now Elena teaches violin, cello and Double Bass (Hong Kong Metropolitan Music Limited and Mike's Violin & Conservatory) working on the different musical systems (ABRSM, Suzuki and others).
